I love maps. I love to look at where I am going. I also love to see what places were like before and why. As an educator, finding good historical black-line maps for my students has always been a goal. There are several great books out there, but also some pretty good websites. two of my favorites are:
Edu Place <http://www.eduplace.com/ss/maps/> : These maps are clear and print clean. I often use their historical maps with my students and I love that they include a filled in map on their site.
Online Map Bank: <http://www.phschool.com/curriculum_support/map_bank/>: This site has pdfs of maps that are in a book that Pearson/Prentice Hall made. Unfortunately the maps do not print out as clean and they do not come with keys. But there is a much wider selection of maps. I have used the book many times and have used the website so that I can create soft-copy versions of the maps.
Do you have an awesome site to find black-line maps or other map resources? Please share!!!
